Confidence & ParanoiaNo not the Red Dwarf episode.
I seem to walk a fine line between the two.
Where as others seem naturally confident, and enjoy the success, happiness and wealth it can bring.
Why?

Becuase your mind is in control of you instead of you being in control of your mind.
That is what the quickening is about.

Good answer.
But surely you are your mind so how can one control the other?
Shut up Kas

They are two sides of the same coin......just don't dwell on it too much.
You think things over, ponder, see the weakness and fix it....that is not paranoia.
Over confidence is also not always a good thing.
You are fine, Kas...honestly....don't worry

you feel alone in this state because you don't hear others speak of the moments when they are feeling less than capable... Kas in truth everyone feels like this and I have 1000's of client to prove my point...
on a personal note to you
you are a man who is highly self critical and you will most likely find that reflected back to you in many ways throughout your day.. that is where your doubt is coming from .. you think you should always be achieving something so when someone tells you different you take it as truth and being to feel bad ..
so perhaps instead of focusing on what you are not doing focus on what you are doing .. because what we focus on grows...

What a caring and sharing thead this is.
It was Harold Wilson who said: "Bravery is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death".
Or words to that effect. You get the idea.

from personal experience I have found every time I have been fearful and not stepped up I get slammed and darn hard ... though if I am scared and take the chance anyway.. things smooth out very quickly ... fear really holds you back :)

... and once you face your fear, you realise it wasn't as bad as you first thought it was eazy peazy

being over analytical....a simple phrase that you over analyse and then doubt..... the person who appears to be most confident is usually the person who has the most insecurities about themselves. in the same way the seemingly most positive/happy person can be the person with the most worries. the bottom line is do not compare yourself to others.. you are you...and that's how it should be...most people have the same doubts about themselves, we are all the same species after all!! xx
