Here's one for you.
I make no judgement or opinion on the following, just relaying the story.
There is apparently a certain spirit character at the fort. Out of all the resident energies he is the most negative and aggresive. (For the purpose of this story i will call him Fred).
I was asked by members of a group a few weeks ago to goad Fred.
Which rightly or wrongly i did. (Hey, i'm a skeptic)
Only one other member of the team was aware of this.
My next visit would be last Saturday.
On the Friday night before we received a call from a lady based in Kent.
She has worked at the fort on Paranormal nights before.
She had sat in on a circle earlier in the evening and through another unconnected member of the circle, Fred had come though to them.
He warned that their would be two others at the fort on Saturday. They would be waiting for us. They were nasty and should be kept away from.
He wanted help to rid the fort of them. You see, he thinks the fort is his.
So i've been told.
He also said one of the staff would be attacked in a certain room.
Now as you can imagine, my mind did wander back to the goading incident. Was Fred going to get revenge? And on me?
I guess it's only human nature to be a little apprehensive, whether your a non-beleiver or not.
So the night started and eventually i went to the room in question.
The Medium who was from Northampton and had 100% no connection to the circle of the previous evening entered the room first.
"Hello Fred" was his first words, which made me stop in my tracks at the doorway.
He continued to relay the story word for word of the two other dangerous entities that were at the fort that evening and should be avoided.
I decided to stand in the corridor outside.
The medium made no attempt to contact the two entities and asked to leave the room.
Later in the night, at a location were Fred is usually prominent. Mel suddenly became very unwell and was violently sick.
Only to be fine once away from that area.
An interesting one, i think you'll agree?
david hobbs
Yes it is interesting.
And quite some coincidence don't you think.
In fact it stretches coincidence a little to far for comfort.
Any scientific observations on this matter?

Well maybe not scientific, but if i was to be sceptical.
The group in question are regular vistors to the fort.
Although it was the mediums first visit.
The group had picked up on the character and name "Fred" (name changed in this case) on a previous visit.
The medium could have been given this information before hand.
The warning given by the seperate party had put the CHF team on edge.
So a certain amount of suggestion could have come into play.
Fear is a strange thing, and no matter what anyone says, it cannot be controlled. I work in the tunnels and rooms on my own quite often. The more you are in this situation the more you become accustomed to the enviroment and become comfortable in your surroundings.
But, from time to time things happen whilst you are in this enviroment alone or in pairs that your logical brain cannot understand or recognize. It is in these times that the fear grows and you feel in a state of vunerability.
In this situation the brain will make most things fit into a scenario where you might come into harm, so naturally you become apprehensive and frightened.
It is possible that the information between the circle and the medium, could have been shared. It cannot be ruled out.
But, it is extremely unlikely, but not impossible.
Mel could have been genuinely suffering from something.
Mel, to be honest is as hard as nails and is not spooked or frightened easily, nor the type open to suggestion. She has cast iron gutts too.
To see someone going from being fine to wretching over a fence and then perfectly fine again was strange. She was perfectly healthy during the day before and the day after and hadn't eaten anything unusual.
We do tend to think of these things before hand and eat sensibly.
So theoretically this could be explained by various coincidences coming together with an added dose of luck or "tip off" from the medium.
I will say this though. Having worked so many nights at the fort you become very sensitive to your surroundings and that night despite the earlier suggestion of something bad felt different. It was like investigating a place for the first time. We just didn't feel at home in our usual enviroment, and it wasn't the first time we had received a warning.

The two new entities continue to be sensed by mediums visiting the fort.
Infact we now beleive they are twins and have the ability to merge, becoming one more powerful entity.
Interestingly the usual spirits picked up on are absent.
Very strange times at the fort.
The group visiting this weekend have visited the fort on many occasions.
They called a halt to the investigation early. Basically for want of a better description, everyone was so scared and frightened, they didn't want to continue. Same thing happend last week to a group where i wasn't present.
I have to say, the things i am sensing and witnessing at the fort are not nice.
I was glad to leave that night.

interesting... what does it take to make one believe what they see with their own eyes and ears???
Have you guys spoken about what to do to stop Mel being affected again? or anyone else for that matter?
david hobbs
Thank you for saying ot Evergreen you saved me the job.
So here we have a "scientific/sceptical approach, and I find myself thinking that science will never prove anything in the paranormal, but then neither will mediums or psychics.
Unless someone knows better that is.
This is a good case to work on to see how people react to "paranormal"events. I think that those judgements are based more on personality than evidence.
I still think that there could be an explanation beyond the psychic/scientific ones.

Here's one for you.
As you know, Coalhouse fort's members recently visited Ypres and the first world war graves and memorials. A trip that was the idea of Mel.
We wondered whether any of the soldiers that served and the fort had been killed in the great war and if we could find their memorials.
Our historian/researcher discovered that there was only one.
we was handed the paperwork on the soldier that the researcher had obtained on the boat on the way back. David was present.
In the paperwork was the letter sent to the soldiers parents informing them of his death.
Quite incredibly, Mel noticed something. The families address was familier to her. She had infact lived at the same address for two years just before we met and she joined the Fort.
The chances must be millions to one.
