Charles MansonPosted: 06 Sep 2009 08:59 am Post subject: Charles Manson
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://www.bing.com/videos/search...ocid=1098117415315&FORM=VIRE#
Charles Manson is considered by normal standards to be the epitome of an evil human being.
If you know about Charlie then you will know that he was guru to a group of people who became murderers.
He was imprisoned and is of course way beyond what consensus society regards as sane.
I watched him being interviewed and something that he said struck a chord with me.
Asked about how he felt about spending the rest of his life in prison he replied "what prison"? The only prison is in your mind. Actually he expressed himself by pointing to his head and saying it.
These words from a man responsible for causing gruesome deaths to other human beings seemed to me to be profound to the point of enlightenment.
I would never condone the likes of Charlie Manson but to me he has found a truth.
What do you think?
|
Raymond
|
So long as I can think I am free.
Don't know who said that but they're a lot wiser than I am.
|
Bravo
|
Whatever he thinks, he is in prison and will remain there. How he chooses to condition his own brain to try to escape that fact cannot change the reality.
He is one pure evil bastard and it's for people like him that I truly hope there is such a place as hell and that he will face torture there for an eternity.
|
david hobbs
|
OK forget Charlie.
I was interested in the notion of the mind being a prison.
|
Raymond
|
I hate it when people do that.
They always latch on to an example used in a post rather than what the actual post is about.
|
Bravo
|
I didn't do that. The post was about him and how he is making his imprisonment feel better by looking at it in a slightly different way.
Being able to state a pithy remark is a whole world away from experiencing 'enlightenment'.
Anybody can come up with a two bit statement about life. The enlightenment must come not from words but from what is inside and actually experienced.

No one condones the actions of anyone like Charles Manson but perhaps if we remove the deed there is some learning there.
You cannot assume that he came to this realisation in prison as he may have felt this way before he was locked up.
To many people the word Manson is as disgusting as the N word.
So let's take him out of the equation and ask ourselves the question "is the only true prison our minds"?
In fact this very thread may offer some clues.
|
Raymond
|
Are we our own jailers?
Are we our own judge and jury?
It would probably seem so. Nobody is more critical or judgemental of me than I am.
|
david hobbs
|
So here we have it.
being judgemental is an emotional reaction.
It can make you feel angry or sad or good .
It is of mind, and controlling how you feel from moment to moment.
Yes in this scenario the mind is a prison.
|
Raymond
|
Don't we judge ourselves and others all the time?
Of course we do. We wouldn't be able to make the simplest of decisions if we didn't.
And it could be on something silly like clothes, hair, accent.
I know it osn't very 'nice' or 'PC' to admit to such a thing, but that doesn't mean it isn't true.
So what's the point of this post? Buggered if I know. So I'll stop now.

the mind a prison if you lock it up and dont let in any fresh air..
as for being judgmental we require judgment to make choices and decisions seeing things clearly is important .....

You have made my point for me.
Once you have judged something you have built an impassable barrier.
Now progress on and apply that to the occult.

Raymond

| david hobbs wrote: | | Now progress on and apply that to the occult. |
Explain more please.

Overtime I have made the realisation (for me at least) that the outward trimmings of the occult such as paranormal experiences and working majik etc are only a guide on a road to self discovery.
Many times I hear people saying Oh I don't seem to be progressing in my meditations or i am becoming tired of the particular things that I used to love doing like sitting in circle.
Why should that be.
Isn't the hidden stimulating enough to make a lifetimes study of.
The answer is NO.
There is always something missing and that something is the true understanding of what we are, and that to me is the ultimate goal in all of this field that we are interested in.
Some people do stay with say, Spiritualism, all of their lives and nothing wrong with that ,but when we feel something is missing from our quest for knowledge and understanding then that perhaps is the time as Evergreen alluded to in another thread, to open our minds up to something new.
Take a brake from our particular belief system which will surely be self fulfilling with "proof" a pleanty
What that something is does of course depend on the individual.

the WHOLE idea of the occult is the stripping away of the FALSE!!!!!!!!!!
unfortunately the realm we live in is a maelstrom of calamities and atrocities
and limitation which keep us trapped in a turmoil.......
yoga, meditation etc coupled with 'right thinking' (from buddhism) are devices to free us from the prison of the mind..........and or ego..
90% of our thoughts are regurgitations of crap!!!!
raymond:
acceptance and not judgement is surely something that you could meditate on?
|
Raymond
|
Maybe not Billy.
Too much acceptance and not enough judgement is one of the contributing factors of the terrible society we live in today.
|
evergreen
|
I think if you steer away from judgment to the point where you lose honesty, understanding or foresight in another s actions then it has gone too far... judgment about what is right and wrong for you is a necessary part of ones development and protection strategies ...
but looking at all and saying they are wrong just because you can - well that is pretty much closing the doors to opportunity and growth and limiting ones mind and life
|
billy nomates
|
raymond...........50 years ago you might have been imprisoned........
non acceptance coupled with judgement led to the deaths and ruin of many
gay men..............so for you to judge people in some way makes you the same as those that persecuted others.............
too fat/too thin/gay/straight/bald/hairy/black/white..............
it all fills up our head and keeps us stuck in the drama............
the occult asks you to lose everything............
to become a master you have to lose 'yourself'..........
|
Raymond
|
I disagree, of course.
Yes, 50 years ago I would have been banged up, and of course that was wrong.
When I say we need to be more judgemental I don't mean against a particular group of people I mean more against individuals themselves.
I'm talking about the young women who spit out children just to get a bigger council house and/or more benefit money.
Or the junkie who beats up old people to pay for the next fix.
Or the hoodie who slaps innocent people in the face just so he look big in front of his mates on YouTube.
Or the layabout scrounger with a 'bad back' who claims disability benefit just because he's too bone idle to get a job.
Or the thief who steals from other people because he believes they are rich and he is poor and he's only helping himself to his 'perceived' share.
Or the young parent who thinks it's perfectly okay to spend all their child support on lager and feed their kids McDonald's.
Or the complete scumbag who thinks it's fine to go through life without ever having to pay his way and always travels free on public transport and steals from shops.
If any one of these examples should 'just happen' to be gay then yes, society should come down hard on them - not because they are gay but because of their actions.
Let's not sink to the level of making every debate in this section a personal one Billy, because 50 years ago society would have taken a dimmer view of a jobless busker with dangerously anti-establishment opinions much more than they would have a homosexual.
|
billy nomates
|
i wasnt being personal..........again another judgement!!!!!!!!!!
ALL of your examples show how trapped in 'this world' you are..........
ALL OF THAT STUFF IS KEEPING YOUR MIND IN TURMOIL!!!!!!!!
THE EGO HAS WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i dont care if anyone is gay.the Evenk tribe of Siberia recognise 16 different types of sexuality!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my 'dangerous' thoughts stem from a dislike of being pushed around by a bunch of overgrown schoolboys that steal our money( yes i paid in ££££££thousands+++++++++ as i used to have a good job in the City)
Turds that have never done a days work and are still in love with chairmen mao......those that speak about equality and fairness while helping themselves to free homes( Darling has 5)!!!!!!!
those that send young people to die in crazy wars while trying to undermine the head of the army and kick out anyone that has been injured (look it up)..............
i know that you dont like being pushed around.......
oh cripes
.now you have got me at it..........
YES We all have to make judgements.........
but - you have to drop all this stuff.............
when you cast a spell you have to clear your mind to access the field.
yes?
otherwise you cannot access that place.......
so being distracted keeps you from the 'real'...........
i know-it is sooooooooooooo hard to stop the mind from churning over+over.....................
ps i am guessing that your quip about being an unemployed busker was another judgement? so is being unemployed a sin? is being a busker a sin? who told you that? where did that judgement come from?
try to be in the world but not of it- as the buddhists would say.......
pps it is hard to express ourselves on the net so dont take things as being personal.you post lots of things about being gay so dont be offended or is it that you can mention it and others cannot?
|
Raymond
|
| billy nomates wrote: | | i wasnt being personal..........again another judgement!!!!!!!!!! |
How? It isn't only you, a lot of people on here bring up 'the gay thing' in response to something I say. It's almost as if it's their only barganing chip left to make a point. I'll explain more on this later.
| billy nomates wrote: | | yes i paid in ££££££thousands+++++++++ as i used to have a good job in the City |
Doesn't wash mate. Just because you once had a good job and paid money into the system doesn't mean you have a free ticket to sponge off it for the rest of your life. We all pay into the system for the benefits we receive all the time - not just for when you're out of work.
| billy nomates wrote: | | those that send young people to die in crazy wars while trying to undermine the head of the army and kick out anyone that has been injured (look it up)............. |
Sounds reasonable to me. Joining the army is a career choice like any other. When a person is too ill or too injured to perform his/her usual tasks they have to be gotton rid of - as any company or business would do.
| billy nomates wrote: | when you cast a spell you have to clear your mind to access the field.
yes? |
No.
| billy nomates wrote: | | so is being unemployed a sin? is being a busker a sin? who told you that? where did that judgement come from? |
It is when they claim benefit. Why should I have to get up at four o'clock in the morning to pay for some layabout to do nothing all day? I have no problem with people who don't want to work (I don't particularly want to work) but I'm not in a position to financially support myself, so I have to.
To most people buskers are nothing but a pain the arse. Whenever I hear one murdering a perfectly good song on the underground my first reaction is to shoot them. Neither use nor ornament most of them.
Nobody tells me anything - I form my own opinions for myself from things I see going on around me, where does your indoctrination come from?
| billy nomates wrote: | | pps it is hard to express ourselves on the net so dont take things as being personal.you post lots of things about being gay so dont be offended or is it that you can mention it and others cannot? |
Not at all. I encourage chat about homosexuality whenever I can because it's only through conversation about such things that misinformation can be broken down, primarily the misinformation about homosexuals political leanings.
Too many people today think that most gay people are lefties. I am not. I am conservative (small "c") through and through.
Nothing annoys me more when people say to me "You shouldn't say things like that, being gay" Why the f*ck not???
Just because I'm gay why should I just sit by and watch the country I love go down the gurgler because it's 'trendy' to be liberal and politically correct?
Why should I not say anything when I see this country being flooded with tens of thousands of useless immigrants who are good for nothing except draining our resources?
Why should I keep my mouth shut when there are generations of kids growing up as feral children only to breed more as soon as they can - just because their 'parents' don't have the first clue how to actually be parents?
Something has gone very horribly wrong in society Billy, and I know you find it easier to blame the 'government' or the 'media' or the big bad wolf but frankly it all went wrong when we bacame too liberal with the way we think.
A certain amount of liberalism is fine but it's gone too far and now we're all suffering as a result.
It's time to put the fluffy thinking back into it's box and start telling the misfits in society to stop doing the things they do or else.
|
billy nomates
|
for a witch-supposedly- you have learned nothing...........
your diatribe shows how caught you are!
to access the field you have to stop your mind.........there is NO other way.
ie people use sex magic because at the moment of orgasm they are totally 'lost'.gone......no ego..nothing.nobody....in the moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
end of discussion.

I don't know what kind of magick you practice Billy but it certainly explains a lot.

I certainly have done that in the past Raymond especially when I knew you were gay but you hadn't' mentioned it yet :) - to explain my actions I thought it may help with you understanding my perspective on things... I get it about being a sole parent too.... but of course that does not define me.. and thus I have stopped pointing out gay reasons because I realised it was unfair to do so

I don't get this gay stuff.
Raymond are you getting sensitive all of a sudden.
People on here speak as they find.
|
Raymond
|
Sensitive? Are you havng a laugh.
Not at all, it just gets a bit tiresome that people constantly point things out that I say and say
"You shouldn't say that, you're gay!"
I have a black friend and she is the most racist person I have ever met when it comes to Asian people, and people say to her "You shouldn't say things like that because you're black!"
Why the hell not?
Despite Labour's best attempts this is still a free country and we still have freedom of speech (Please don't disagree with on this Billy).
I just get a bit annoyed when people just assume I'm some loony, leftie, liberal, lentil-eating, sandal wearing, greenie leftie just because I like a bit of BHP.

The bible you read today is a heavily modifyied version written like, centuries, included in the origional text, Jesus had apparently slept with many many men, a gay christen friend of mine informed me off this over Brunch earlier this year, to which i was quite shocked

Well, who'd have thought.
However, you really can't trust the bible. I'm not just christian-bashing here, how any body in their right mind can accept that book has remained the same for over 2000 years really does have to have a screw lose.
And they call ME a nutjob!!!

Indeed not. I remember watching an interview with one of the 'witnesses' (he only heard, not saw). His descriptions of the screaming and people begging for their lives and this one that just died coldly hacked to death that poor pregnant girl.
No, I wont be sending any cards.
