Arriving at dawn
I was swept away by beauty
the shores
the endless green in treetops
the azure blue
of morning skies.
My breath spoke volumes
as I gasped in the cool freshness
The air clinging to me like a veil.
Such beauty I had never seen.
In books I had read of moments like this
when time takes a break, slows down, allowing
enjoyment to linger-
catching the essence of life in a glance.
Gazing over hills and vales
I note the ragged outcrops of mountain spires,
lushness of valleys far below.
As though seeing for the first time,
i cannot get enough.
I hold my breath to make it last
fearful it might expire with my exhale.
Oh such purity I only dreamed could exist,
I hope to remain here, forever on this hilltop;
and transpose my life to such great heights.
This is what I was meant for
here life begins.
Where nature bathes me in her aura
teaching me the treasures she beholds,
secrets only the wise have known.

Me too.. Have hundreds of poems that I have written over the years.
Maybe I will do something with them one day...then again Maybe not ?!!

you have already doen something you have written them :) ..
what to do with them next well that is totally up to you the world is ful lof opportunities you just ahve to choose them
I have had a few published other than that I just seem to collect them.. I have even lost many along the way and it doesn't seem to matter to me.. the point for me is the expression of myself getting it out of my head
