They have been seen,even by me. They seem to have an existence, but what are they really.

Don't say something from the lower realms or I shall scream.

What is your experience and opinion.

Well as nobody seems to have a clue let me tell you one of my observations.

Recently on an investigation I saw what I would describe as a Gargoyle type elemental with my psychic eye.

It took me ages to work out that I was looking at the representation of a human beings hatred made manifest.

In other words, and obviously this does not apply to all incidences of elementals.

We, in a sense bring them into existence.

Thought form is a general term, like spiritual or ghost.

What do you class as a thought form and how does it manifest?

A thought form (in the generally accepted sense of the term) is an entity the magickian creates for a specific purpose and/or a specific period of time.

Well I think that you do not have to be a magician to create a thought form.

All you need is intensity and something will manifest.

Given enough hatred or love in the thought and there are your Angels and Demons and they are a dammed sight more difficult to deal with than ghosts and spirits because the little rascals do not cooperate with us humans very well at all.

They are definatly giving me the run around at the moment.

Time for my tuppence,...

It's been my experience that there are three levels of existance. The Physical Plane, The Astral Plane, and the Higher (or Spirtual) Plane.

These relams of existance don't have definate lines drawn between them they merge and over lap like the colours of the rainbow.
Travel between these planes is possible but that's a different discussion.

Life exists on all of these planes. On the Physical, of course, is us. The Higher is where we go when we die, also known as Heaven, Paradise, Summerlands etc,..

The Astral plane is by far the most interesting of the three. There exists on the astral plane three types of being.
Elementals, Discarnate humans (ghosts) and The Others. (Sounds very dramatic, I know but bear with me.)

Elementals are there to assist humans with the care and development of the Physical plane. Elementals rarely show themselves to humans simply because they don't need our approval or input to do what it is they need to do.
If they do show themselves then it's usually in the form of such things as fairies, gnomes, elves, pixies and the like. They are usually associated with one of the four physical elements of earth, air, fire and water.
Elementals are the beings that the Witch or Magickian calls to the magick circle for assistance.
If treated properly with respect and care, Elementals are often allies rather than threats. However, they have been known to go bad when pushed.

Discarnate humans are people who have died and, for various reasons, haven't made it over to the Higher plane - again, there are many, many reasons why this happens and it's the topic for another conversation somwhere else.

Which finally brings us to The Others. These beings are neither elementals nor discarnate humans.
The only time they have anything to do with humans is when they find one of us too attractive to resist or when they are invited to.
These beings are neither 'good' or 'evil' in themselves. They have no concept of right or wrong as we do. They exist without intelligence.
Like most things they are attracted to whatever they find most attractive (like attracts like).
If you see one of these creatures manifest in the physical plane then you will see pretty much what you want to see.
If you expect to see a fearsome creature with red eyes and gnashing teeth then you will, if you expect to see a beautiful angelic creature with blonde hair and wings, you will.
These creatures exist without purpose. It is possible to give them a purpose but on the whole, unless you are adept in working with such beings I would suggest you leave them alone.

Besides, there's very little they can do for you that you cannot do for yourself through the proper application of magick.

Well that is excellent input Raymond and very useful to anyone, including myself who finds that Elementals are popping up in there life.

It's been so damm long that I had almost forgotten, but I do know that respect is everything. They were Here first and will be here when we are long gone.

Such praise is always very welcome Mr. Hobbs, but I would like to just pull you up on one thing if I may.

We really mustn't fall into the trap of thinking of the whole thing in terms of "us and them".

We are just as much a part of the big spiral dance as 'they' are.

I have had some thing very knew happening to me of late (knew for me that is)

I have had experiences with all of the above in various ways ... and yet this one has me slightly baffled because I was not mediating nor intending to it just happened while sitting to do a reading.. I've been too darn busy to look at it yet but I shall tonight if time permits me

anyway the experience is

I sat to just regain my center and immediately I'm else where was outside it was dark and the earth was cold I felt shivers and then a huge what I can only describe as a dragon lands in front of me.. it is red and gold and ringed with fire.. immediately I heat up and feel a burning sensation not uncomfortable.... just like I'm too close to the fire

the dragon speaks to me... he says its time to go deeper.... bellows great fire onto the black soil and it opens up infront of me he takes of.. and I am there with a gaping whole in the earth at my feet...

I feel honoured and and feel the need to give thanks to the earth and the elements .. then I am once again aware of my surroundings

so my questions are...

is this like seeing a ghost ? it was like seeing a ghost I saw it physically not in my mind I felt the heat like I feel the clothing of passed overs etc... my guess is its much the same

and is a dragon just a dragon ??? or is this elemental? or both?

I thought elemental immediately but then I have only ever has air and water before .. fire is knew to me.. and Raymond didn't' mention dragons above so I ask the question :)

I recently read in a book that the last century was mostly taken up with what's described as 'sexual embarressment', this means that people were hung up about all things sexual but through various sexual revolutions these barriers were broken down.
The author described that now we're living in a 'spiritual embarressment' and over time the barriers will come down on that also.
Maybe that's why people are seeing more and more.
There's a saying I heard a few years ago, 'Some things have to be believed to be seen' - I like that. Some things do have to be believed in before they show themselves.
As more and more people are coming round to the idea that there's a lot more going on beyond our five senses maybe that answers why more and more people are seeing.

EG - Salamanders are usually the shape of choice for fire elementals but Dragons are also perfectly valid.

I love dragons. I've always understood they represent earth energy - ley lines used to be called 'dragon lines'. Dragons are also earth guardians. Might be productive to look up some dragon mythology. I think it's significant that legends of dragons can be found all over the world. I certainly think your 'vision' or whatever it was, was trying to tell you something, Evergreen. Oh, and also, if you've only had air and water experiences before, the dragon has now given you earth and fire.

I often get a green man .. which I think is earth this because he brought fire with him made me think fire element it is all very interesting

ride on his back.. interesting .. I'm awaiting the time to go back and investigate this further

I certainly don't think that's the case, Evergreen. The dragon you saw sounds amazing, and I get more of the feeling of a wise guardian, maybe even a totem animal or a spirit guide. He's certainly come to you for a reason, and I don't think you should be afraid. Respectful, yes, but not afraid. Do do some research on dragons, you might turn up something useful.

I seem to remember reading that the Isle of Wight was in the triangle formed by two ley lines.
There was something about a White Oak on the mainland that denoted the apex of the Leys

I have to say that the dragon is coming up time and time again for me so are fire and earth.. so obviously new things.. its great to move on :)
