My visit to this corridor brought many lost souls to my attention.. cold spots are everywhere here and the feeling of isolation and loss is immense.. the depression you feel David surrounds this place like a blanket of death.. it is such a sad place

You are right this was the corridor where the separate prison forbid any contact with another person.. prisoners here were isolated at all times they saw no one nor were they able to go out doors..

this photo is of the corridor with cells either side it is freezing in this part of the world thus you can only imagine winter here was intolerable, and summer extreme..

you may well be right as the convicts did build these sandstone buildings so they would have carried the bricks themselves..

I am rather frustrated as I have been searching for a link to explain the terrible place that this was and I can only find these glowing reports of how they were nto physically abused here that punishment had moved on to psychology punishment instead.. dear dear me.. so wrong.
