A Journey. Mel I have one too.. :)A journey
When I embarked on this journey I knew not where it would lead
Through days that became a haze and long night that made me bleed
Heartache and sorrow, I have know them all.
Love that has lifted me, only to let me fall.
Pains that wreck your heart and tear out your soul;
They have moulded me, and made me, and taken their toll.
I have travelled much, moved, and enjoy my life
Without finding trouble or creating great strife.
Through countries where I felt no familiar seeds,
To places where my family has grown and found all their needs.
The roads I have taken are muddy and deep
The way I have travelled, my secrets will keep.
From stories of friends who fell by the way
To tales of family here with me today.
I have loved them all and shared in their pains,
Carried and washed them in cleansing rains.
Seeing through badness and looking to light
Striving to keep centred and knowing what is right.
Men have come and gone,
Leaving heartache and sorrow where is doesn't belong.
Three babes I have borne, with the pains and joys
That comes from love, and living, and playing with toys.
So many houses I have known and towns I have fleeted,
Where people are happy that I take the time to be greeted.
I am nothing if not honest that is all I can say:
And knowing that has taken years to find me this way.
My self it is growing, of that I am sure.
My nature is showing and learning to be pure.
Be true to myself, and then i shall be whole
Learn what you need and give it your soul.
I can't hide from me of that I am sure
for me is the one thing that I must eternally endure.
