I was thinking about my first private reading from a medium.

Her name was Grace Kennedy and I met her at the local Spiritualist Church. I had no idea what to expect but I was fairly sure that these people where not quite the ticket.

She gave me the reading and hit the nail on the head quite a few times but I still thought that she may have been giving educated guesses. I realise now of course that she was a fine medium and these days you could wait up to two months for an appointment.

Anyway, she suddenly told me that I had a problem with the nearside rear tyre on my car and that I should take a look immediately. I went outside and inspected all of the tyres but found that they were all in perfect condition.

She smiled and said "just be careful and remember it is the nearside rear tyre.

I left and forgot the incident until about ten minutes later driving down the high street there wad a loud bang and the car seemed to drop like a stone on one side. I went straight to the rear nearside tyre and to my amazement there was a huge bolt straight through the middle of the tyre. It was as thick as my index finger and the tyre was completely shot.

I always think of it as a bolt from the blue and always make a point of listening to mediums even if they seem to be wrong.

Well you never know do you.

It made sense at the time.
