Inside West Kennet Longbarrow at night.  This picture was taken by Mark, my travelling companion who came over from New York to make this trip.

He has been most of the last twelve years when university duties allowed.

The long barrow has a different athmosphere at night as you can imagine.

I love West Kennet Longbarrow.  I've been there once, when I got John to take me to Avebury one Lammas.  A group of about nine or so of us went up to the Barrow and we did drumming and chanting inside it.  I've never experienced anything like it, it was amazing!  There's such an atmosphere inside, it makes your scalp tingle.  I'd love to go there at night, though - that must be indescribable!
