I had the opportunity to tour this beautiful plantation back in 2000 with a group of other people for its midnight tour.  Unfortunately, I think that being in a group didn't allow for me to properly enjoy myself or be as receptive as I could have been on my own, but needless to say it was a very memorable experience.

I didn't have any kind of striking 'haunting' experience other than a very strange heaviness that came over me  briefly when we pulled into the driveway.
