Ok for those who want to give it a go here is the simplest meditation of all

Some of you will have done this but I am thinking more of the people who find it difficult to lose themselves.

Make yourself comfortable

Relax and take half a dozen slow deep breaths.

Now breath normaly, in through the nose and out through the mouth

Observe the breath and only the breath as it enters the body hold it briefly after you have breathed in and also at the end of the out breath.  watch the pauses, in a relaxed way.

Ten minutes is quite enough and this is an easy start but it has more depth than you would think.

Practice will bring change

Here is one that is so simple but I found the result well worth while

Sit and relax yourself down with some slow deep breaths.

When you are ready feel your body on the seat and your back against the back of the seat.

Feel the breath flowing in and out of your body, cool on the way in and warm on the way out.  Be aware of any tension in your body, and relax.

Become aware of the solidness of your body.

Now you feel your body beginning to disappear.  First the stomach area begins to vanish, and then trunk begins to slowly empty.

Then the legs and the arms.  Everything inside you is vanishing and you are becoming full of space until finally all that is left of you is the skin.  Now the skin fades away and there is nothing but space where you body used to be.  Be still.

Take time over this and when you are no more do not think.  Just be.

Anyone have any good meditations for me to use on my students.
