I've always said you don't need to go creeping around ancient castles and spooky mansions to experience the paranormal.

I've just spent the evening in a 3 bed council house in Romford and I can tell you it's one of the most paranormally active places I have ever been.

A young couple and their child have just moved to the house and they haven't had a moments' peace since.

We popped round there tonight to get the 'lay of the land' and twice I was nearly physically thrown down the stairs.

The young woman of the house called a medium in and apparently he offered to clear the house for her for - wait for it - £300.

What a f*cking liberty!

We're going back Friday to help them out at no cost. These good people need help and as far as I'm concerned to make money out of people who are so obviously suffering is outrageous.
This so-called 'medium' should be strapped to a lampost and set alight.

I tell you what though, I'm going tooled-up on Friday. I really do expect trouble.

But the thing is it is surely better to deal with a large and wealthy property owner than a lowly working class council tenant

I can empathise with this case because I once moved into a council house on Canvey Island and it was as haunted as hell.

We spent so many nights trying to locate the source of our torment and being really frightened that believe me it was a really bad experience.
I hope all goes well Raymond.

I never did do a write up about this did I?

Unfortunately when we went back on the Friday the activity was rather quiet.
Things were being dropped on the floor but unfortunately it was always in another room to the one we were all in at the time (isn't it always the way?) but I can assure you, there were only four of us in the house all evening and we were all together all the time.

The most spectacular thing I witnessed was the kitchen chairs. I went into the kitchen about half past nine to put my teacup in the sink and I remember noticing the chairs at the kitchen table were pushed under because I put all my stuff on the table. Everybody else was halfway up the stairs at this point. I went to one of my bags to get something, turned the light off and made my way upstairs - so I was the last one to be downstairs.
We were all upstairs for about an hour then we all came down the stairs with me leading the way.
I went into the kitchen, put the light on and all 6 of the kitchen chairs had been pushed back about 3 feet from the table.

We didn't get much in the way of video evidence, few orbs and lights - the usual stuff - so I performed a full house clearance, surprisingly without too much trouble.

I heard from the family just last week actually, they seem to be doing alright and have had no disturbances since.
