While I'm not particularly interested in UFO's an such, I have a question and I would be interested in as many of your opinions as possibles.

All this talk of aliens coming to Earth, and we all know that if that were ever to happen it would most probably be the most important event in the history of mankind, right?

Many people have the image of the UFO landing on the White House lawn and thanks to a steady diet of Hollywood movies I suppose many of us would automatically assume the Americans would be in charge anyway.

But what if the UFO landed somewhere else?

What if it landed in Downing Street? Or the grounds of Buckingham Palace?

Just think of how much power a country would have over the world to have first contact.

Your thoughts please.

Who's to say it hasn't already happened ?
Look at the way technology has leapt forward since 1948 & the Roswell incident !

more than likely land in the deserts of Australia, that's where most space junk lands....

I wonder what would happen I think we may cope better than we think... it would depend so much on what life forms the aliens are

i suppose its right to assume that aliens would land for a limited number of reasons they would either want to
to learn about us
to take over and use us
to kill us all and take the planet
to create good tidings for some reason of their own

hmm   the question is could be have any effect on any of this are we actually intelligent enough to really help ourselves when its really needed ?

I think you miss my point Hunter.

I'm not talking about things that may or may not have been covered up. I'm talking about a walloping great spaceship touching down in the middle of Trafalgar Square one Saturday afternoon in front of tens of thousands of people and aliens getting out and walking around saying "Take us to your leader".

In short, something that couldn't possibly be covered up.

If the above sceanrio were to happen just how would that change the balance of power in the world?

That would depend on the attitude of the aliens toward us and vice versa.

The first thing governments would be after I guess would be engineering information so as to increase their own power in the world.

Given that we are always willing to have a go at anything seemingly threatening I think any aliens landing Trafalgar square would be well advised to wear a bullet proof vest or at least a stab proof jacket.

Precisely why they havent landed slap in the middle of town!
They are capable of making and travelling in a spaceship,so must be far more superior to us,probably able to read our minds, hence they won't land near us,as we would shoot first, ask questions later Big Grin

Now if you take Brazil, thats a different matter, they've been landing there for years.

Then perhaps you should start a site and call it Bad UFOs.

You have all of the required qualifications.

Oh Mr. Hobbs.

In all honesty I'm really not that bothered. Like I said before, when the aliens touch down and are ready to talk to us face to face I might sit up and take notice but if people want to get themselves in all of a tizzy over grainy footage of "aliens" peering through windows and suspicious pictures of lights in the sky, well, who am I to spoil their fun?

Have you read the SERPO 'revelations'?

I'm not convinced one way or the other that these publications are real, but either way it is certainly an interesting read.

No I haven't Bravo and to be honest I won't either.

I'm really not that interested in the subject to devote hours and hours reading this opinion and that opinion.

I just asked the original question because I think if E.T. and his pals landed in just one country, that country would suddenly become the new world power.

If aliens landed in Britain and only Britain it would be the glory days of the empire all over again.

Raymond:
If aliens landing in Wembley arena tomorrow would collapse the whole monetary, religious and ultimately, the major power systems of this planet.  It wouldn't make a difference where it landed.

Well I hate to say it KJ, but that was more the kind of reply I was hoping for when I started this thread.
Now, why do you imagine aliens landing here would automatically bring about the downfall of society?

As our economy is based on oil, anything to counteract it would bring the downfall of our monetary system. The Dow Jones Index is worth fuck all if oil is made obselete by 'free energy' cold fission.
Simples. :)

First Contact? what would it do? Bring me waffles and i shall ramble.

right, so your asking, if a whacking great big spaceship touched down on Terra-Firm you want opinions on what might happen? Whelllll, for starters a whacking great big spaceship would need a huge space to touch down on, so thats England out of the way for starters. I'd have money on Russia if it was to happen, biggest country in the world and plenty of people, and probally the least likely to set nuclear charges on the hull.

If it happened in Russia, or anywhere, i think it would probs be for the worst, the human race is an ignorant one to say the least, and also mentioning, not the most intelligent on the planet, so chances are the Aliens would start talking to the Wales and Dolphins first, before figuring out that humans are the dominant  species  forthwith.

It'll never happen but hey!! speculation is great Big Grin

From what I heard aliens live under the ground. They have always been here, an there mission is... Well see...

It is also written in the koran (turks bible thing)

You ever wonder why people have been searching space for a while not finding alien lifeforms, there already here.. In my opinion we lived on these planets like mars before we came to this one etc. If you were trying to analyse another planet would you make yourself known? course not only if you wanted to be seen, but by then you would have your hidden agenda ready, lock an loaded. Imagine the world as a big illusion, anything is possible, this is like a testing ground and we are the experiment. Some life-force somewhere is analysising us in a man made labratory only light years ahead of us.

Think of it like this, we have never been down far enough under the sea, and if you look closely alot of deep sea fishes look alien. Just a theory as ever.

you can always count on me to bring it random :)

The Quran. One of the holiest books ever written reduced to 'turks bible thing'.

Good to see the GCSE-educated mind is as brimming as ever.

Interesting stuff.

Really we have to come up with our own ideas about these things and not just repeat what a mate said over a few beers.

What does it say in the Koran?

Where did you hear that aliens lived underground?

I like and agree with the concept of the world being an illusion and therefore anything is definitely possible.

hey dave, well I'm not into religion raymond so how do I know how to spell quaran lol just one of our lodgers in the house told me it is stated in there, that aliens do infact live underground same as the trolls, maybe this is why people refer to some elementals as lower realms.

Well I didn't hear it from anyone that is all my own input, I just have my reasons that work for me. I do have a family member that told me she was visited by an alien life form while opening upto spirit connection. You can take it as what you like but when she asked the question, why are you here? They said we've always been here. Secondly she asked what do you want, an they left it with, you'll see then left her.

for the record raymond, I do have alot of intelligence, but I reserve it, why do I need to spell correctly if your brain can still translate it clearly? Babys are also extremely succeptable to change, I once saw a program on tv, with 10 puppies on a stage, which they had a baby sitting up watching. The cast brought in a screen in same decor as the rest of the stage to trick the baby by taking one of the puppies out. Immediately the baby started acting different. Confused and deluded, it knew something was wrong, just not what. Even a baby has intelligence :)

just because where not all oxford boffins putting curses on those that bullied us through school, you bitch of a witch lol
