Two things.

1. He had a nice pair of shoes after that.
2. I bet the next show his guide is suddenly English

This sort of thing must be really frustrating to you genuine folk.

thanks for sharing this raymond ,i would have thought that the Spiritualist Association Of Great Britain would have  agreed between there members that this medium  was  reputable ,well id hope they do as he was demonstrating

ive seen trance a few times and i wasnt  sure what to make of it

when i met you in the pub in london with david it seemed that  someone was trying to come through me and talk when we was at the snooker table .i wasnt aware what happened

and the last investigation again i believe that i spoke albeit briefly and was possibly overshadowed  or transfiguration took place

i no you will be honest with me so maybee you could explain what you saw

i do understand if  you prefer to say no comment

The thing is Mark, I've seen voice contact a few times. Some times it has been 100% genuine, most of the time it's been blatantly fake.

Maybe 'fake' is the wrong word. The times when I've seen it and had my suspicions have been times when the 'medium' has obviously felt under pressure to deliver the goods.
Ok, so maybe that is fake, but you understand what I mean.

Voice contact is something I cannot do myself so maybe I shouldn't be making comments on something I can't persoanlly do, however I will say this, on the occassions when I have seen voice contact and felt assured that it was genuine, all the various mediums have had one thing in common - they had absolutely no recollection afterwards of anything they said or did.

When you went into trance both at the pub and at the manor house I was specifically waiting to see your reactions when you came out of the trance, and (to me anyway) you appeared not to know what you had said.

I think it's something you should definately work more with Mark. Maybe join a circle specifically geared around trance work.
Nobody can teach you how to trance. It's either soemthing you can do or cannot. I believe you can. What you need now is for somebody to help you refine it and fine tune it so you have more control over it.

You're very lucky to have that ability Mark. It's something the rest of us can only wish to have.

I don't know about anybody else but I find it really funny.

All these things make for a good story down the pub.

I've worked like this and true to what you say  Raymond you do not recall what has been said I have come out of trance to find who came through had pulled people up about things they were doing or said very personal things to them  and I return to a very very quiet room of people in shock at what had been said.....

to answer your question about the time spent in trance I used to all my readings this way and before going into the trance I would always ask that it last for no longer than 55 minutes so I could go to the next client...  that appeared to work for me

I'm not too sure it can 'be learned .. but it seems everything can be so perhaps why not???   I just did what came to me, though I am not working in this manner now

When I say it can't be learned, what I mean is I don't think it can be taught to somebody who shows no natural aptitude for it in the first place.

I think of these things like singing. If somebody is naturally a good singer they go to singing classes to learn various techniques to improve on their voice, they aren't taught 'how to sing' because they can do that anyway.
They're taught breathing techniques, how to sing from the diaphram, correct posture and so on - all these things will assist with the singing.

The same, in my opinion, applies to trance work. It cannot be taught to somebody who doesn't already do it naturally.

In fact, you could say the same is true with all forms of mediumship. If somebody doesn't have a natural ability to contact the spirit world in some way then any amount of training is fairly pointless.
At best all you will achieve is guesswork and cold-reading.

I have found that with some people I feel a bit blocked.. I think they are kind of like serial information askers .. if you understand what I mean- they want to know what I 'get' or 'feel" about everything they do

thats abusive of me and upstairs..

Evergreen i understand you on this .
I hate people who just asume i will turn up to their homes on a given day and expect me to put on some sort of carnival show to them, when i tell them what i do and what i wont do they never reply back.

Despit my work being free ,i thinks some would rather have someone who will charge the earth give a load of beloney just too imprees their friends.

To be honest mostley i will detect from a e mail request straight away
if someone is being honest.

That's very true actually.

I really don't know why that is. People generally seem to be happier with a reading if I charge them than if I do it for free.

It's the same reading.

Why is that?

its all about self value it is why I began charging .. and why I then uped my fee ....   If I valued my work then others valued it ...  and the only ones who still push me are the ones that want it for nothing.. like ww said like a show or something to entertain them...

I have not joined in on this thread because I have had a bit of experience of channelling voice and it is not quite as it seems.

This is how it worked for me.

As I meditated I would begin to feel what I can only describe as a cold current beginning to run through my body.
I would always have to consciously start the voice myself by saying something, ususaly it would be something like bless you.

I would then sink down into the mediumship and Begin to speak and answer questions if asked usually questions on a subject of which I had no prior knowledge.

I would sometimes see what the "spirit" was talking about and always felt that I was still there even when "taken over".

I know that I was still there but the really odd thing is that when I was told afterwards what I had said I could only remember about ten percent of it, so I did remember things.

It is a very unusual experience and one thing that I do not seem to have seen mentioned here is the fact that when you "come back" you are pretty much exhausted.

At least I always was and it took some time to recover.

It can also be dangerous to the medium if the sitters are not experienced.
I remember one occasion when I was coming out of trance and a new sitter even after being told, decided to stand up before I had fully recovered.
I can only describe what it felt like to me as having my guts ripped out.

It is not something to play with.

At least that is what my own experience tells me.

I would agree.

Genuine voice contact can be very draining for the medium and also slightly dangerous.

It really is not something to play around with.

The most interesting experiences I had with voice mediumship where with a certain guide who's name I have long since forgotten.

He would come through and say just one word.  Say for instance star.

the group would sit quietly for a while and the wonder what the heck it was all about and then one would ask a question.

The guide would then launch into a long and circuler story that was nothing to do with the question or stars but after say five minutes of non stop philosophy he would finish by tying in both the question giving a full explanation and the word that he had give ie star and the whole lot made total sense but better still it gave learning and understanding.

it still amazes me to think of it now.

I find the exhausting part interesting when I began this form of mediumship I was exhausted .. but I appeared to work my through that so that I was not so exhausted  but after a few months I became very ill .. hence no longer working this way

also was reading on the net about someone else who does trance and she claims that you should actually feel better- now that never happened to me ...  NEVER!!!  lol  and I actually had a friend tell me I must not be doing it right then .
