The grizly remains of a mysterious razor-fanged beast have been found washed up on a beach.
A shocked surfer discovered the carcass "the size of a calf, with massive canine teeth".
It is badly decomposed making indentification difficult - but the find sparked fevered speculation.
The monster was spotted near Downend Point on Croyde Beach, Devon, just five miles from the area where the beast of Bodmin is rumoured to roam.
The corpse has black fur and teeth similar to those found on big cats such as pumas or panthers.
Surfer, Jason Poulter 27 stumbled upon the grizzly remains at sunset on Tuesday - the same day the Forestry Commission officially confirmed that big cats DO live wild in Britain.
"It has massive teeth" Mr. Poulter said "A flat head and large eye sockets and is about five feet long".
Some locals suggested it could be a sea lion but The Marine Conservation Society and the National Seal Sanctuary both ruled that out.
Sergeant Jeff Pearce of Braunton Police also suggested a sea lion but said it was unlikely as sea lions "don't live in our waters".
interesting.... ? I wonder what will come of it? I've never heard that there were Big Cat sightings in the UK
I'm waiting for the tassie tiger to be rediscovered an animal like that cant' just disappear its too terrible a loss _________________ as a babe drinks from its mothers breast so too does man milk mother earth
I agree with Raymond, the fact that big cats have been spotted in the UK & no-one seems to accept or deny the fact shows a conspiracy, perhaps of misinformation, but also a conspiracy of apathy as regards searching the truth, the same as with the UFO debate. _________________

As a long time Ufo fan and member of the local Ufo club I do agree with you Hunter.
Regardless of what they are or what controls them there is it would seem a massive cover up. _________________ Please visit our main site
Conspiracy theorists have to my knowledge never been in a flap over wild cats.
Show me where this is happening please Raymond !!!!!
I love a pint and a bit of conspiracy.
Over here,in Numpty land, the 'Big Cat' was seen so many times, myself included, and this man,Jim White, was going to find it no matter what! He gave up after a few months,as he got fed up with the 'conspiracy' theory. here's the [almost] full story.

Forgive me for butting in,but here on the isle of Widget on the topic of the Big Cats, the authorities were saying that the cats came from a 'time warp' and it was all to do with UFO'S .
I can go along with the time warp theory,as they disappeared as suddenly as they appeared, back in the 80's and 90's. As far as I know-there have been no sightings since then....but watch this space, whenever I open my trap, something usually happens.lol _________________ Remember words spoken complaining may blight every effort and plan,

Oh DEAR! Raymond's bored,
we are talking about the 'Big Cats' Your pic. of the beast on the beach looks like a big cat to me.
Then again some people have said that big cat sightings and ufo's are connected _________________ Remember words spoken complaining may blight every effort and plan,

I am sure we all know that when the dangerous animal act came in some people are suspected of releasing big cats into the environment rather than having them put down and I can see that it could happen.
Since then perhaps they have been breeding in the wild.
Let's face it they are bigger than foxes so they get first shot at all the McDonald's and Kentucky fried Chicken that people throw on the pavement. _________________ Please visit our main site
I was chatting to my friend about 'the big cat' and she informed me that there was an article in the papers last week about another sighting in the Forest Of Dean. here's a link.

Well people are always banging on about protecting wild life.
Let's see if they are so keen when a big cat turns up at their summer picnic.
We also have wild Boar in the UK and no doubt lots of other unexpected species.
If they can survive, good luck to them.
They have been pretty close in my area. A friend I worked with went to let her dog out for his nightly ablutions, and he howled and went back indoors. As she peered out of the window,a huge cat was stratching at a tree in her garden. As per usual,by the time a camera was found, the cat had gone. In the morning, the tree had the markss on it about six feet up,then her hubby took a photo of her standing by the tree, which died soon after, and they sent the pic. to our local rag. This was at the time I saw one on the roads ,also there was a sighting in our car park, just over the road to me. This went on for about two months, and no dead sheep or other animals were reported, maybe they live on wabbits! _________________ Remember words spoken complaining may blight every effort and plan,
